How universally significant is our knowledge? One way to put it is, what would we have in common with aliens, should we ever meet them? Would they honour their equivalent of Newton? Yes. Einstein? Yes. Darwin? I shall argue yes again. I shall argue that evolution is universal and predictable.
Let us celebrate the scientific debate, and the constant, fearless, search for new knowledge!
Richard Dawkins is one of the most respected scientists in the world. He is a British ethologist, evolutionary biologist, and popular science writer. He was professor of Public Understanding at University of Oxford 1995-2008. He is an internationally best-selling author. Among his books are The Ancestor’s Tale, The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Climbing Mount Improbable, Unweaving the Rainbow, A Devil’s Chaplain, The God Delusion, The Greatest Show on Earth and The Magic of Reality etc. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and of the Royal Society of Literature.
Farshid Jalalvand, researcher in clinical microbiology. Jalalvand is also a cultural writer and writes about biology, philosophy and history. Jalalvand has appeared in media during the Corona Pandemic as a vaccine expert.
Jonna Bornemark, professor in philosophy, Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge Södertörn University. Bornemark have among other books written "De omätbaras renässans". Her latest book is called "Jag är himmel och hav"
Anders Hansen is a Swedish physician, psychiatrist and author. He has written several acclaimed books about how the brain works and has hosted popular science programs on TV.

Park Jiha, Korean composer and multiinstrumentalist, composes groundbreaking modern music rooted in traditional Korean instruments. Park Jiha released her new Solo album ‘The Gleam’ in February this year. Park Jiha attempts to distil light into sound. In collaboration with Clandestino Festival
Linnea Jardemark, artist. Will perform live-projections on stage.
Petter Pankinaho JazzTrio play their music in the foyer between 17.00 and 18.00.

Practical information for visitors of the event:
IF YOU CAN NO LONGER ATTEND: Please cancel your ticket if you can NOT attend, so that we know if there are any available seats. You can find information about how to cancel in the ticket you received to your mail from Eventbrite. Thank you in advance!
DOORS: Doors open at 17.00, and the stage program starts at 18.00. Note that this is a sold out event of 800 guests, so if possible please arrive at 17.00. Doors will close at 17.45.
FOOD: It will be possible to buy food and beverages between 17.00 - 18.00. The food available will be pizza slices, along with some soft drinks and lighter snack.
SEATS: Please note that the seats are unnumbered. A couple of seats in the front will be reserved for stage performers, special guests and press.
ACCESSIBILITY: There will be a sign language interpreter on stage. The venue has no stairs, and there will be areas reserved for wheelchairs. If you have any questions about the accessibility or want to inform us, please contact emma.axberg@goteborg.com
FIND YOUR WAY: The name of the venue is Gothenburg Film Studios and the address is Polstjärnegatan 10, 417 52 Göteborg. If you come by tram or bus the closest stop is Lindholmen, and if you come by boat the closest stop is Lindholmspiren. The walk from Lindholmen to Gothenburg Film Studios is estimated to 10 minutes. If you come by car there is parking close to the venue.
IF TICKETS BECOME AVAILABLE: There is no waiting list for tickets. If tickets become available due to people cancelling, you will be able to find them on site at Gothenburg Film Studios. Note that we cannot guarantee that there will be tickets on site.
