Beskrivning

Aquaculture can provide healthy and tasty food to feed a growing population. A major challenge for sustainable aquaculture is to develop systems with better barriers between fish and environment. This will limit the environmental impact while creating a more controlled environment for the fish. Land-based closed systems, such as recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) are good candidates for sustainable development. RAS create a much stronger barrier between fish and environment, making it possible to farm new species and bring them closer to the market.
