Beskrivning
Phantom pain is pain in a body part that is no longer there, for example following an amputation. But how does one treat pain that is beyond the limits of the body? Learn about how mathematical models can be used to build a better understanding of what happens in the nervous system after an amputation and how those changes may lead to pain in the missing body part. We also demonstrate the treatment that our research group has developed for phantom pain and describe how it could be adapted to treating other types of complex pain.
